Aboriginal Education

The students in Ms. Winstone's grade 4 class have been studying the Aboriginal Culture. Each student created a diorama depicting a First Nations community.

Students made masks and will be writing corresponding legends. Our Aboriginal Education coordinator, Nella Nelson will be coming in to visit the school to share a legend with the class.

The classroom bookshelf provides a landscape of learning in the pages of all all of the wonderful books about Aboriginal cultures.

Honouring Diversity

At Rogers, we honour diversity. In our main foyer we have a bulletin board that features a pin representing the countries of origin of all of our families (mothers and fathers).
